Our name
The association's official name is Unarinperän Metsästysseura ry. The suffix “ry” stands for registered association (rekisteröity yhdistys) and is part of the name. On the English pages we use the descriptive translation Unarinperä Hunting Association, which does not replace the official name.
What we do
The association's photographs show the range of its activities: shared hunting days and campfire breaks in the forest, gatherings and work days in the yard, coffee events in the community hall, and events for children and young people that have covered first aid, building birdhouses and how hunting dogs work.
More detailed information about individual events is published on the Activities and News pages as the association confirms it.
Hunting traditions
Hunting is a long tradition in Finland that lives on in local associations. For us, tradition means above all skills passed from experienced members to younger ones: knowing the terrain, acting safely, respecting game and cooperating well with landowners.
Safety and good conduct
Safety is the foundation of everything we do. We follow Finnish hunting legislation, wear high-visibility clothing and make sure everyone knows our shared guidelines. Read more on the Responsible hunting page.
Nature and the environment
We want to leave the terrain at least as good as we found it. Building birdhouses, carrying out litter and taking habitats into account are practical examples of how this shows in everyday activity.
Community
The association is also a meeting place for the local community. Shared coffee events and gatherings bring together people of all ages – hunters and others who care about nature.
Location and contact
The address provided for the association is Nuppulantie 24, 20320 Turku, Finland. It is not necessarily an open visitor address. Please contact us by phone or email via the Contact page.
